Operating Efficiency

Net productivity is based on 6,000 copies per hour per machine up to 3 machines. Actual performance will be based on specific criteria related to product.

 

Sitma Spoilage Efficiency

Efficiency of the polywrapping is determined by the quality/size of the publication and  inserts. A spoilage factor has to be added to allow for the mechanical process.

  • 1.5% or 250 minimum should be added for spoilage to publication and inserts.

 

Designing

The Sitma can collate/ onsert only based on the following criteria. Note: Width is measured by spine to face or final fold to face ( opposite point of measure ).

Insert Size Capacity

975 feeder ( jacket )

  • Minimum Width/Height 7” x 11”
  • Maximum Width/Height 12” x 17”

675 feeder ( insert )

  • Min. Width/Height -  4" x 6"
  • Max. Width/Height-   12" x 17" ( No larger than host piece )
  • Single sheet must be minimum of 70lb hi-bulk offset
  • Must withstand 30lbs vacuum
  • Four page newsprint must be quarterfolded

 

Polywrap Film Packaging

    • Thickness  - 0.5 mil - 2.5 mil ( 1.25 mil standard )
    • Film Size ordered to specification requirements
    • Minimum Width/Height - 6" x 10"
    • Maximum Width/Height - 12" x 17"
    • Special printed film can also be used.
    • Minimum 4 week lead time for film orders

Mailing

The Sitma has on line inkjet mailing capabilities utilizing the 2000 Marconi Print Pro inkjet labeling system.  Please refer to our mailing specifications for details other than label requirements for the polywrapping.

Label Requirements

  • Requires label placement on the polywrap. A 3” white strip is printed on the polywrap parallel to final fold. Label placement is printed parallel to spine or final fold.
