Gannett Offset is a diversified printing and marketing services company and a division of Gannett Co., Inc.  It is headquartered in Springfield, VA, eight miles south of Washington, DC. The company maintains a total of 19 operating units in 11 states. Our Print Group offers nine manufacturing sites strategically located across the USA.  The Marketing Services Group is made up of Telematch, Gannett TeleMarketing and Gannett Direct Marketing Services.  Teaming to provide database marketing, telemarketing and direct mail services, the group can provide single-source, integrated solutions for the marketing industry.

The Print Group operates non-heatset printing presses in eight metropolitan markets.  They include, Atlanta, Boston, South Florida, Minneapolis, Nashville, Phoenix, St. Louis and Washington, D.C. In addition, Gannett Offset provides heatset printing capabilities at plants in Minneapolis and Pensacola, FL.

Each of the non-heatset plants produce USA TODAY for their respective regions.  Gannett Offset is the world’s largest single producer of USA TODAY as collectively, the plants produce more than 1,000,000 copies daily (Monday through Friday).

The Gannett Offset/Springfield (VA) facility has been called “The Birthplace of USA TODAY”, as it became the first site to produce “The Nation’s Newspaper” when it launched on September 15, 1982.

By using the ever-demanding “standard operating procedures” developed to make USA TODAY the recognized leader in four-color newspaper printing,  Gannett Offset production facilities are able to offer the same outstanding quality and consistency to their other local, regional and national commercial printing customers.

Gannett Offset/Minneapolis has been an award-winning heatset printing operation for many years. Specializing in high-quality, high volume retail, direct marketing and magazine production, the facility formerly known as Printed Media Companies, was purchased by Gannett Offset in 1997.

Gannett Offset/Minneapolis moved into a new 184,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art production facility in suburban Maple Grove, MN in early 1999. It began offering non-heatset printing services June 1, 1999 when it launched USA TODAY on a new MAN-Roland Uniset 70 press.  The multi-faceted plant also offers mini-web and sheetfed printing services.

Each of the Marketing Services Group units bring a specialized area of expertise – which collectively, enables Gannett Offset to offer a fully-synchronized package of direct marketing services. From initial strategic planning to back-end analysis and subsequent program enhancement, The Group can serve as a single-source supplier.

Telematch provides database marketing services which include residential and business telephone number appending, data enhancement, database management, data processing, and laser printing services.

For almost 20 years, Telematch has been the recognized industry leader in computerized telephone number appending.  While Telematch is the company name (and a registered trademark), many people use it as a verb as in “I’d like to have my files “Telematched”.

Gannett TeleMarketing, Inc., specializes in telesales and teleservices programs. The company maintains seven state-of-the-art call centers in Maryland, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and Massachusetts.

Started as a circulation marketing arm for USA TODAY in 1983, Gannett Telemarketing has grown to become one of the industry leaders in providing services to the publishing, telecom, bank fundraising and market research industries.
